Our story began in the 1700s in the foothills of Germany, where our family were among the first manufacturers during the Industrial Revolution. Over generations, we built a tradition of innovation and resilience. Three generations ago, we envisioned new horizons in technology and education, leading to a strategic shift.

Fascinated by the transformative potential of these fields, we seized the opportunity to invest in tech. This evolution wasn't just a business decision; it was driven by our passion for fostering innovation. We've witnessed how these industries can change the world, and we're committed to supporting those who dare to innovate and make a lasting impact.

FOCUS ON DEEP TECH

We focus on early-stage companies driven by deep tech, defensible intellectual property, and unique business models. We look for founders using novel approaches to solve large problems in the real world across a broad set of industries, especially those that haven’t seen material progress in decades. 

Rather than focusing on certain industries only we look for enabling technologies that can be implemented in various verticals. As well, we are geography agnostic. 

INVESTMENT STAGES

Our primary focus is at early stages of investing in Pre-seed, Seed, Series A, Follow-on.

BFV manages assets exceeding $150 million in deep-tech ventures. In addition to our direct investments, we  invest and collaborate with a diverse array of venture funds, amplifying our impact across various industries.
